Seen Them? Newark Police Seek Stove Thieves

Newark Police are attempting to locate two suspects wanted for a burglary that occurred on Friday, Sept. 29.

Between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., two men broke into a residence in the 100 block of Milford Avenue, using an object to damage the door frame leading to the home's basement, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé

The suspects removed two stoves from the residence, Fragé said. Each stove is valued at $1,000.

The first suspect is a Black man with a medium build who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white logo, yellow reflector gloves, and white sneakers, Fragé said. The second suspect is described also as Black with a heavy build, Fragé said. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt featuring a multi-colored logo, gray shorts with a white logo, and blue and white sneakers, Fragé said.
